Du 2 au 9 Février dernier, a eu lieu la 4e édition d’AgroBootCamp au Bénin. 40 participants venus de 10 pays ont pris part à cette formation, qui fait désormais figure de grand-messe de l’agro-écologie et de l’entrepreneuriat vert en Afrique. Retour sur ces 7 jours d’apprentissage et de partage.
AgroBootCamp est né de la volonté du collectif éponyme, composé d’entreprises et d’associations béninoises, togolaises et françaises (dont DJOUMAN est membre fondateur), d’autonomiser les jeunes africains grâce à des activités, à la fois génératrices de revenus et respectueuses de l’environnement. Le principe est simple : AgroBootCamp, c’est 7 jours de formation pratique et terrain en agro-écologie et en entrepreneuriat vert. Le programme de ce camp de formation se décline en ateliers d’agriculture respectueuse de l’environnement, en ateliers d’éco-activités et en ateliers d’initiation à l’entrepreneuriat. AgroBootCamp, c’est surtout 7 jours où une cinquantaine de participants, âgés de 18 à 35 ans, vivent et apprennent en mode collaboratif. Pendant toute la formation, les participants nouent des liens à travers des activités et expériences uniques.
L’aventure AgroBootCamp a commencé en Mars 2018 avec l’organisation de la 1ere édition au Bénin. Elle se poursuit encore aujourd’hui, en Février 2020, pour la 4e fois grâce au soutien de ses partenaires : SEECAR, BEDE, Ressources Bio, Ecodis, Sens Bénin, Isocel.
La 4e édition d’AgroBootCamp s’est déroulée sur la ferme agro-écologique des jardins de l’espoir sise à Tori-Bossito, au Bénin du 2 au 9 février 2020. Outre les béninois, les participants sont venus du Togo, du Burkina Faso, de la Côte d’Ivoire, du Mali, de la Guinée, du Niger, du Congo Brazzaville, du Cameroun, de la Martinique et également de France métropolitaine. Au total, 40 participants ont eu droit à des ateliers pratiques, sous la supervision bienveillante de coachs et de formateurs, experts de leur domaine. Les participants ont ainsi pu s’initier ou se perfectionner au travail écologique de la terre (sarclage, repiquage de rejets d’ananas, fabrication d’engrais Bokashi, fabrication de bio-pesticides…) ; à la transformation agro-alimentaire (fabrication de lait et de fromage de soja) ; à la fabrication de charbon vert, de toilette sèche, de foyer amélioré, de savon naturel… Ils ont pu acquérir les bases pour se lancer dans l’entrepreneuriat : structuration de leurs idées de projet, identité visuelle et branding, communication digitale, pitch… Les participants ont aussi eu droit à des sessions de partage d’expérience avec des entreprises locales telles que Fruitizz et Ouidah pain.
AgroBootCamp 4 a également été marqué par la visite de la ferme du « jardin du roi » à Porto-Novo, où le propriétaire des lieux, Sa majesté Salim Dara a partagé, avec les participants, les techniques de pisciculture et systèmes d’élevage écologiques.
Pour cette 4e édition, le collectif AgroBootCamp a souhaité lancer les AgroBoot Awards, les trophées de l’entrepreneur vert, pour soutenir les meilleurs porteurs de projet participant au camp. Lors de la soirée de clôture, qui a eu lieu en présence du maire de Tori-Bossito et autres invités pour la circonstance, 11 finalistes ont eu l’opportunité de « pitcher » leur projet devant un jury indépendant d’experts. A l’issue des délibérations, 5 lauréats ont été primés : ils recevront, entre autre, un accompagnement technique pour mettre en place leurs différents projets. A noter que, la lauréate arrivée en 1ère position a reçu, en plus, un prix d’Initiatives Climat, lui permettant d’intégrer le dit-réseau et de participer à la prochaine rencontre qui aura lieu au Maroc au mois de Mars.
La 4e édition d’AgroBootCamp s’achève sur un bilan des plus positifs. Les prochaines éditions, prévues pour les mois à venir, s’annoncent sous les meilleurs hospices.
