The next edition of Agro Boot Camp will be held from October 4 to 10 in Tori-Bossito, Benin. The second edition of our agro-ecology training camp will focus on “The keys to success in green entrepreneurship”.
Kawfê, partenaire d’Agro Boot Camp
In total, 50 participants will have the opportunity to attend practical and field training courses given by high-level experts on the pedagogical farm of the Gardens of Hope in Tori. The excitement and excitement are already felt: more than a hundred applications following our call for applications which ended on 14 September from 12 countries (Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Liberia, Cameroon, DRC…).
Also, alongside us, partners are committed to making this edition of Agro Boot Camp a real success. Among our partners, Kawfê: a young Beninese company in the agri-food sector that is distinguished by its 100% natural spices and seasonings to finish off these cubes and broths that are real health hazards.
We went to meet the promoters of Kawfê to learn more about their commitment to sustainable development.
Pierre-Marie Sèwèdo Kakpohoue, CEO of Kawfê Group.
Kawfê specializes in Agricultural Production and Processing. This company is the realization of a dream and a great passion for nature but also of the desire to create and be helpful through products and services. With a master’s degree in rural economics and thanks to my experience in entrepreneurship, I also specialized in supporting producer groups and coaching in agribusiness. Through these services, it is a question of enabling these targets to remove obstacles to the growth of their activities but also of facilitating their access to practical solutions through other companies that I manage. I mean, I’m a hunter of opportunity.
Kawfê has a team of 5 people including 2 Co-developers and 3 home technicians. We are based in Tori Hayakpa (Benin).
Kwafê specializes in food production and processing: we produce rabbit meat, chicken and snails, pre-cooked vegetables and ground spices.
At the production level, we emphasize quality. We strive to produce naturally while respecting the environment. Ecological production takes place on our farm where we had set up integrated agriculture where nothing is lost. So 60 percent of the processed raw material comes from our production farm.
Our goal is to make cooking easier for anyone who is interested, amateur or professional. Through our products, we save time (pre-cooked vegetables, fresh cut or cleaned meats); a unique flavor (a range of ground spices for seasoning and cooking) and especially the return to nature as an element of health preservation. We help our customers, through our advice of use (on our Facebook page) to cook in a healthy way, without chemical additives. For us, this is very important because it is a matter of public health.
Today, we are able to expand our markets and are present in 4 cities in Benin (Cotonou, Abomey-Calavi, Bohicon and Natitingou) with some customers in Burkina Faso and France.
Our goal is to be able to share this passion with our clients and the entire Beninese population. And to do this, our production farm is occasionally transformed into an open space for relaxation, discovery and restoration: Kawfê Camping Club.
