“Rethinking the use of libraries” was the idea behind the call for applications from Library Without Borders to select 10 entrepreneurs to take up the challenge. It was in March 2015 and Grainotech, Danièle Oulaï’s project was part of it. His idea was to create a library of organic seeds in Côte d’Ivoire. Objective: to preserve local traditional seeds, which are at risk from the industrialization of agriculture and to train young farmers in agro-ecology.
Grainotech wants to boost the western region (regions outside the capital) and is considering the creation of an incubator. Danièle Oulaï’s initiative is part of the selection of the Climate Initiatives Trophy – COP22 for Francophone Africa.

It is also the first Ivorian Fab Lab connected to the MIT Lab Foundation network.
